JoJo took to TikTok and Instagram to share her truth with the world and to declare her love for her then-girlfriend. Keen to avoid labelling herself, she told People magazine:
“I still don’t know what I am. It’s like, I want to figure it out. And I have this joke. Her name is Kylie. And so I say that I’m Ky-sexual. But like, I don’t know, bisexual, pansexual, queer, lesbian, gay, straight. I always just say gay because it just kind of covers it or queer because I think the keyword is cool.”
We absolutely love this! Nobody should make you feel as if you have to give your sexuality a definitive label. It can take time for you to discover your sexuality and that’s OK. Some people don’t know until many years later.
Your sexuality is yours and yours alone. You deserve to be your true self, free from judgement, and to be with someone you love and who loves you back.

Elliot Page, star of Juno and Inception, spoke to his fans in an open letter published on his Instagram back in 2020. He spoke bravely and honestly, telling the world:
“Hi friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot. I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life.”
Celebs and fans alike rallied in support of Elliot coming out, with stars such as Mark Ruffalo, Anna Kendrick and Patrick Stewart leaving loving and supportive comments on his feed. Since coming out over a year ago, Elliot has won praise for sharing a photograph of himself posing bare-chested post-surgery:

Lil Nas X
Lil Nas X always wows with his amazing stage costumes and flamboyant music videos. He rocketed to stardom in 2019 and has been a figurehead for the LGBT community since. It’s a position he says he fully respects, telling the The Guardian:
“I 100% want to represent the LGBT community.”
The MONTERO star admitted to Out magazine that his coming out was “terrifying”. He came out on a twitter post back in 2019, pointing fans to the lyrics of his song ‘c7osure’:

Since coming out, Lil Nas X has become one of the world’s biggest LGBTQ+ icons, regularly ‘breaking the internet’ with his fabulous tweets and videos but mostly because of his absolute refusal to accept any kind of bigotry or homophobia. He’s truly one of a kind and the world loves him for it! 🙌
