Waves For Well-Being!

Four reasons why the ocean is good for your mental health and well-being…

There’s a real magical quality about the sea. The crash of the waves, fresh air, and the sensation of sand beneath your feet is one of nature’s best therapies. Here are four fantastic reasons to head to your nearest beach for an instant mood boost!

  1. RELAXATION

The sea relaxes you – body, mind and soul. Staring out at the blue sea and watching the waves roll in helps to put you in a calm, meditative mental space. Close your eyes and focus on the sounds you can hear – the cry of seagulls, the crash of the waves. Take deep breaths of fresh sea air and imagine yourself blowing out your worries as you exhale, one by one. Go barefoot and focus on how the water and sand feel beneath your feet. This is a great way to practice mindfulness, which is all about living in the moment and giving your full attention to your senses.
