Get Those Fresh Air Feels!

Boost your mood with our top 10 outdoor activities!

PICNIC TIME

It’s International Picnic Day on June 18th so it would be rude not to, right?! Grab a few friends and head for your local park or beauty spot, armed with a blanket and plenty of tasty treats and drinks. Soak up the scenery, sit back, and relax!

CYCLE YOUR STRESSES AWAY

Put your foot to the pedal and go for a spin on your bike. Cycling improves your mood and helps you sleep better, plus it’s a great way to explore the world around you.

ESCAPE TO ANOTHER WORLD…

With a good book! Grab a paperback and head out to the garden to lose yourself in the story. Wrap up in a blanket if it’s airy or slap on sun cream and stretch out on a lounger if the sun is shining.

GARDEN DIY

Ever tried your hand at DIY? Now could be a good time to start! You could build a bird house in the garden or transform a few old pots with a lick of fresh paint. Being outside on a sunny day doing manual tasks can help to improve your mental wellbeing.

GO GREEN

Try your hand at gardening! You could start small: fill a few pots with flowers from your local garden centre or grow a sunflower from scratch. Gardening can help to reduce stress and anxiety.

GO CAMPING!

Get a group together and head to a nearby campsite or pitch a tent in your own back garden and sleep out under the stars. Camping is always great fun, especially with friends.

EXERCISE OUTDOORS

Move your usual workout outside! You could create a circuit in the garden or give yoga a go in the fresh air. No garden? No problem! Head to your local park or go for a run in the countryside to blow away the cobwebs and boost your fitness levels.

HOLIDAY AT HOME

If it’s hot and sunny outside, why not recreate those poolside vibes at home? You’ll need a comfy chair, maybe an umbrella for shade, an ice-cold drink, and your favourite summer tunes on repeat. You could fill a paddling pool to dip your feet in when it gets too hot. Don’t forget sun cream!

WALK & TALK

Meet up with a mate you haven’t spoken to in a while and head out for a long walk while you talk. You could head into town or explore an area you haven’t been to before. Walking helps to clear the mind and reduce stress.

LIFE’S A BEACH

Hit the dunes for a day of carefree fun, sunbathing and splashing! There’s something wonderfully therapeutic about the beach: fresh air, crashing waves, sandy shores… Invite a few friends and make a day of it!
